Charles Vincent Witchard was a Soldier during WW1. This bear has been named after him.
Charles is approximately 31/2 inches tall and made from red mohair on a lighter background which I have plucked, shaded and waxed for a "well loved look. He is fully jointed and stuffed with Kapok and has tiny steel discs in his body for added weight. He has brown glass eyes and a stitched waxed nose and wears a little red,white and blue ribbon with a brass effect "Hope" charm attached by a rusty old safety pin.
