William Henry Mobb
During World War One many British Soldiers used to be given a little bear by their sweethearts and loved ones. These bears had eyes that were high up on their heads which peeped out of the soldiers' top pockets. This is one of  my versions of these bears.

This Soldier bear is made from a lovely blue mohair similar to the  Farnell Soldier Bears. He has brown glass eyes and a stitched, waxed nose. He is approximately 31/4 inches tall  and is fully cotter pin jointed. He is stuffed with kapok and has steel shavings in his body for added weight.
He wears a replica of the official medal ribbon fastened with a rusty old safety pin and a bronze effect "Hope" charm. I have plucked, shaded and waxed him a little to give signs of ageing.
