John Ernest Whiteman

John Ernest Whiteman  was a Soldier during WW1. He  diedon  09/05/1917 aged 24. This bear is named after him.

Soldier Bear John is made from white mohair and is fully cotter pin jointed. He has brown glass eyes and a stitched, waxed nose and is stuffed with Kapok. He has steel shot in his body for added weight and I have plucked, shaded and waxed him to look "well loved" He wears a red/white/blue ribbon with a "Hope" charm attached by a rusty old pin.
