Hugh Beaumont is a very well loved bear that lived with his owner Sissy for all of her life. He went through quite a bit of trauma from the dog biting his hand and nibbling away at him until Sissy pulled him to safety . He also had thousands of hugs, kisses and adventures with them. (This, of course, is a made up story as Hugh is brand new but he insisted on looking like and Oldie!!)
So, starting again Hugh is made from red mohair on a lighter backing which I have plucked, shaded , waxed and added faux stitches to. He has red leather paws and is stuffed with kapok, often used in early bears. He has tiny steel discs in his tummy for added weight.
Hugh has black glass eyes and a sparsely stitched and waxed nose. He is fully cotter pin jointed and is just under 4 inches from head to toes. He wears a rusty dome shaped bell around his neck.
