Umpleby is now Sold

During World War One many British Soldiers used to be given a little bear by their sweethearts and loved ones. These bears had eyes that were high up on their heads which peeped out of the soldiers' top pockets. This little bear is my version of these bears.

2nd Lt Umpleby was a Soldier during WW1. This bear is names after him.

Umpleby is approximately 31/2 inches tall  and made from old gold mohair which has been heavily aged for a "well loved" appearance. He has brown glass eyes which are different shades and sizes and a stitched nose. He is fully cotterpin jointed and is filled with kapok, used in the making of early bears. He also has steel shot in his body for added weight.

If you are in the UK and would prefer to have the bear sent by the lower price of signed for please let me know and I will adjust the postage

Discounted postal costs for ALL countries  outside the UK can be found on my Terms page along with questions on reserving a bear.[powr-paypal-button label="Umpleby"]
