Lance Corporal Alfred Woodcock was a soldier during WW1. He died in action leaving a young wife, 3 year old son and 2 year old daughter. This bear is named after him.
Alfred Woodcock is one of my versions of  the bears given to the soldiers during WW1 by their loved ones on leaving. Alfred is made from pale gold mohair, approximately 31/2 inches tall and is fully cotter pin jointed
Alfred has light blue eyes and a stitched waxed nose. I have plucked, shaded and waxed him and added a couple of faux stitches for a well loved look. He is firmly stuffed with kapok and has steel shavings in his body for added weight. He comes wearing a red, white and blue ribbon with a bronze effect charm with the word "Hope" written on.. The bag is just for photography purposes
