Florence is Now Sold

During World War One many British Soldiers used to be given a little bear by their sweethearts and loved ones. These bears had eyes that were high up on their heads which peeped out of the soldiers' top pockets.

Now just in case  there are any Soldier Bears  in need on TLC, here is Florence, the 2nd of my nurses, to tend to their wounds!! All the nurses want the same name after Florence Nightingale so I shall number them. This one is the second.

Florence is 31/2 inches tall  and is made from old gold mohair. She has brown glass eyes and a sparsely stitched nose.

Florence is fully cotterpin jointed and is filled with kapok, used in the making of early bears. She has steel shot in her body for added weight and wears a vintage linen nurses hat.She has a hope charm around her neck. (Bandage not included)

If you would like to reserve any of the Little Scruffs on my site for up to 5 weeks a £10 deposit will secure.
