If you are unfamiliar with the story of the Soldier Bears here is a little bit about them.

During World War One many British Soldiers used to be given a little bear by their sweethearts and loved ones. These bears had eyes that were high up on their heads which peeped out of the Soldier's top pocket.

Private Reginald Percy Brotherton was a Soldier during WW1 and this bear is named after him.If you would like more information on this Soldier please let me know  If you would like a Soldier Bear made and named after a loved one please email me.

Harry is  approximately 31/2 inches tall and made a long golden mohair which I have aged for a "Well loved" look. He has black glass eyes, one small, one large to make it look like he has had to have a replacement, and he has a sparsely stitched nose. He is fully cotterpin jointed and has steel shot in his body for added weight. His head and limbs are firmly stuffed with kapok, used in the making of early bears.

Harry comes wearing a red, white and blue ribbon with a bronze coloured "peace" charm attached to him by a rusty looking safety pin
