2 Lt Charles  Ashforth Cartledge was a Soldier during WW1. This bear is named after him.

Cartledge is made from a mixture of grey,blonde and black mohair on a tan coloured background. he has been heavily treated to look "Well loved". He has odd  eyes in different shades  of brown and a stitched, waxed nose. He is fully cotter pin jointed and filled with kapok. used in the making of early bears, with steel shot in his body for added weight.

Cartledge comes wearing a red, white and blue ribbon with a 'Hope' charm added and  is pinned to the bear with a rusty coloured safety pin.
