During World War One many British Soldiers used to be given a little bear by their sweethearts and loved ones. These bears had eyes that were high up on their heads which peeped out of the soldiers' top pockets.
L Cpl J Ewbank was a Soldier during WW1 and this bear is named after him.
Ewbank is approximately 31/2" tall and made from vintage brown mohair used by the English teddy bear company Deans. He has been plucked, shaded, waxed and has had faux stitches added to him.
Ewbank is fully cotter pin jointed and filled with kapok, used in the making of early bears and he has steel shot in his body for added weight. Oh and he has lovely blue glass eyes and wears a silver coloured "hope" charm around his neck.
If you are in the UK and would prefer to have the bear sent by the lower price of signed for please let me know and I will adjust the amount. Postal costs for all countries can be found on my Terms page
