Flight Corporal Richmond was in the Airforce during WW1 and I have named this Pilot Bear after him.
He is made from a scruffy mohair which I have plucked, shaded and added faux stitches to and is 31/2" tall. Unlike the Soldier Bears the Pilots have their ears lower down to go with their helmets.
Richmond has brown glass eyes and a sparsely stitched mouth and is filled with kapok, used in the making of early bears. He has steel shot in his body for added weight. He is fully cotterpin jointed and comes wearing a silver coloured hope charm around his neck.
