Otis is now Sold
I love black bears and fat little chunky ones too. In fact black bears are quite a rare breed compared to bears of other colours. This is one reason-they are harder to sew and also harder to photograph!!
Anyway back to Otis. He is approximately 3 & 1/4 inches when standing and fully cotterpin jointed. He is made from spikey black mohair which I have plucked, shaded and waxed and he has brown glass eyes and a brown embroidered waxed nose and mouth. He is filled with kapok, used in the making of early bears and has steel shot in his body for a nice heavy feel. He wears a rusty old bell on a piece of ribbon around his neck.
