Sidney is now Sold
Sidney Cooke was a Private in the 4th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment during WW1.  This bear is named after him.
This little Soldier Bear is approximately 31/2 inches tall and made from old gold mohair. He has odd brown glass eyes high up on his head like the original Soldier Bears that peeped out of the Soldier's pocket. He has a stitched nose and comes wearing a "hope" charm on a red, white and blue striped fabric     Items surrounding him are not included

Sidney is fully cotter pin jointed and stuffed with kapok, used in the making of early bears. He has steel shot in his body for added weight. I have plucked his fur, shaded and waxed him to give him the appearance of a "well loved" bear.
